Mill construction: modern milling plants from a single source.

We plan, supply, assemble and modernise milling plants, from a single machine to a complete grain mill. From Dresden for Saxony, all of Germany and the rest of Europe.

Milling plant construction: an old craft, modern technology.

Mill construction combines a centuries-old craft with modern plant engineering. We design your milling plant to fit your product, your building and your capacity, and support you from the first concept to commissioning.

Modernisation of milling plants.

Not every mill needs a new build. Targeted modernisation often achieves more: higher capacity, better flour quality and fewer energy losses. Typical tasks:

  • Replace or retrofit roller mills
  • Extend and modernise cleaning
  • Add peeling plants and speciality mills
  • Expand flour silos and loading
  • Replace bucket elevators and drag chain conveyors
  • Track down energy losses

Frequently asked questions about mill construction

What does mill construction at FRÖHLICH include?

Planning, supply, assembly and commissioning of milling plants, plus modernisation, maintenance and spare parts procurement. Commission individual services or the whole project from a single source.

Where do you work?

We are based in Dresden, Saxony, with references in Mockrehna and Leipzig, among others. Beyond that, we work across Germany as well as in the Czech Republic, France and Switzerland.

Do you also modernise existing milling plants?

Yes, that is a large part of our work. At Mühle Rüningen in Braunschweig, for example, we modernised the cleaning section and the spelt mill.

Are you tied to specific manufacturers?

No, we consult manufacturer-neutrally. As a Bühler Authorized Reseller and official SAATI sales partner for milling sieve fabrics, we also have direct access to original parts.

Which operations do you work for?

Grain and speciality mills, for example for spelt or special grains, compound feed plants and grain storage facilities.

Your mill project starts with a conversation.
